Urja Utsav is an endeavor to take the Challenge to restore the ancient art of Gold Embossing (its neither gold plating or gold polishing, but solid gold converted into foils), into an entirely innovative form with the help of gifted Artists and Artisans of Rajasthan.
Urja Utsav is a Gateway to World of Subtle Luxury. But before transcending it into the Luxury there is a detailed Process involved, layering gold leaf over a surface is called gold leafing or gliding. It is an ancient art form that takes years of practice and patience to get smooth finish. Gold is hammered into extremely thin sheets which require definite skill and fortitude to apply on the object. Once the leaf is finally applied on any object, over a period of time the bond becomes stronger and thus the metallic shine increases. This was the reason that gold and silver leafing was the legacy of Royal Palaces in ancient times
